H1 H2 in TinyMce
« on: September 19, 2009, 01:15:58 PM »
In the editor is H1 and H2 not working correctly?

After a enter (return)  it must be possible to make the text above H1, H2 ..
But when you do this the whole text becomes H1..
How can I change this?
Oke..  when I make a page break under it, and later remove the page break I get what I want  but that shoot not  be the way?

Greetings, Niek

Hi Niek,

not sure exactly why this is happening to you but one reason could be:

You copying the text from another source eg. MS Word, a Website, etc...
if so make sure you click the eraser icon to Remove Formatting for one reason or another word especially will bring its formating that really messes with the TinyMCE text editor that CompactCMS uses.

Hope this helps

Hi Niek,

It's true: TinyMCE (and any other editor for all I know) has trouble with Word copying. But I'm not sure whether this is your case (by the way: the editor has a special "Word paste" option for this). I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but most likely we'll be able to see what is happening by looking at the "before" html source and the "after" html source in the editor.

If you have such code example, show us and perhaps it gives a better indication of what is happening.

Cheers,
Xander.
Don't ever hold back your suggestions. Help me either to improve CompactCMS or spread the word about it on sites such as Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon, etc :). Thanks!
